The individual we are looking for is someone who is not only experienced in managing a small fleet of vehicles and crews -but who is also driven and motivated.
You will be responsible for managing all the road crews and updating scheduling regarding newly won jobs or deliveries.
You will be supervising loadings and keeping in contact with clients when necessary
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Scheduling vehicles and labour for day to day activities within budget
- Scheduling in advance
- Preparing run sheets for following day
- Arranging local, country and interstate deliveries with third party carriers according to allowances
- Managing road crews
- Arranging access inspections where necessary
- Monitoring vehicle condition and scheduling maintenance accordingly
- Scheduling all container movements and activities
In order to be successful in this role it is essential that you can demonstrate:
- Basic computer skills
- Effective communication to external and internal stakeholders of the company
- Excellence in customer service with clients
- A good knowledge of specific regulations and codes governing the transportation of personal and household effects such as Fatigue Management
- A good knowledge of OH&S compliance
- Good organisation and time management skills
- Ability to think on your feet and solve problems
- A great sense of humor!
- Experience with One Stop website desirable but not essential
